The server TSD is on is a dedicated server, but there are a few other websites on the server besides TSD. One of the websites requried a newer version of the database software, so one of the other server admins updated the database software. Unfortunately, doing so took TSD down.
I got a call when the problems started and began working on it from my phone (I'm out of town and away from my computer). I managed to get TSD up for a short time, but realized that the software update did more harm than good. In an attempt to get TSD back up as quickly as possible, I purchased a new server and began the process of moving the site to the new server. Unfortunately, it isn't going as smoothly as I would have liked.
I've spent the last 24 hours working on TSD, but don't have the tools to get it up and stable until I get home. Therefore, I'm calling it quits until I get home. I will then have the time to devote to moving TSD to the new server properly.
There was no data lost during the process. All of TSD is still intact, just unable to be seen unfortunately. After TSD is back up, I'll be happy to go through the process of refunding members or extending their subscriptions for the time the site is down. Trust me, this was the last thing I wanted to be doing on vacation.
